DRIED DOGGY BISCUITS

from the October 1985 "Drying Times"

by Barb Moody

This is a wonderful recipe for cleaning out the cupboards and refrigerator. Use up any dried veggies that are older and slightly discolored, or any fresh vegetables that have been in the refrigerator too long.

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal. Mix in egg. Add meat stock/vegetable puree. Spread on Teflon Sheeting. Dry at medium heat (100°-108°) for 10 to 18 hours.

If desired, when biscuits are partially dry they can be cut with a doggie biscuit cutter or just scored with a knife. Break apart with completely dry.

Cats love these too!
